Individual & Group Psychotherapy
SERVICES
I primarily offer in-person services to adults of any age and firmly believe that in-person therapy offers the following important advantages:

-
Ability to connect more organically and build trust more quickly
-
A closer approximation of how real-world relationships develop
-
Access to information essential to your treatment, such as body language and eye contact
-
Greater privacy and lower chance of being overheard or observed by others
-
Dedicated time and space free of distractions and interruptions
-
Assurance that technological failures will not disrupt your therapy
-
Much-needed breaks from electronics/screens and physical isolation
-
Free coffee and snacks 😊
On a case-by-case basis and when appropriate, I may offer teletherapy as an adjunct to in-person services (e.g., when a client is sick or traveling in a state where I am permitted to practice) using a secure, encrypted videoconferencing platform. See my FAQs for more information.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
I believe that we flourish through authentic, interconnected relationships. In individual therapy, my hope is to provide you with the kind of relationship where you feel safe to take the risks necessary for change. I also believe that we each possess an innate wisdom about what we need to support our own growth. Because you are the expert on you, I will walk beside you and offer empathy, feedback, and gentle challenges as we explore solutions that empower you.
GROUP THERAPY
Group is a powerful and unique form of therapy involving experiential learning in a safe environment. Because our concerns so often develop in a relational context, healing relationships can be part of our solutions. As a Certified Group Psychotherapist, I help members use group to explore challenging relational patterns and practice new ways of relating in real time. I encourage members to share openly and honestly about how they feel, and exchange meaningful interpersonal feedback. Members often benefit by gaining self-awareness and insight into their concerns, learning about themselves in relation to others, processing emotions, overcoming barriers to communication and healthy conflict resolution, reducing social isolation, and improving symptoms of anxiety and depression (to name a few).

GROUP SERVICES
As a certified group psychotherapist, I have a good deal of experience leading a variety of group types, teaching psychology doctoral trainees to lead therapy groups, evaluating clinical outcomes associated with group therapy, and developing, managing, and expanding group therapy programs for clinics. Although I don't currently offer any therapy groups in my private practice, I'm available to work with organizations to train group therapists, lead an established group, help them develop a group program, and provide group-related consultation. Fees for these services will be negotiated based on the organization's needs. Please contact me for more information.
